Tried It. Tested It. Here’s My Take on Naked Pea Protein

When Naked Nutrition reached out about trying their Naked Pea Protein, I was immediately intrigued. I’m partially lactose-intolerant, so I’m always on the lookout for high-quality, plant-based protein powders that support my training and recovery without upsetting my digestive system. A lot of people in my community deal with similar sensitivities, so I take it seriously when evaluating products I may recommend.

Over the past few weeks, I’ve used Naked Pea Protein consistently in a variety of ways. I didn’t want to just test it once or twice and write a generic review. I wanted to integrate it into my actual routine and see how it performed in real life.

Here’s what I genuinely like about it:

Simple ingredients: Just one yellow pea protein with no added sugars, no artificial flavors, and no fillers. This level of simplicity is rare and appreciated.

High protein content: Each serving contains 27 grams of protein, which is more than many other plant-based powders on the market. For anyone trying to increase protein intake to support muscle repair, recovery, and strength, this is a big win.

Neutral flavor: Because it’s unflavored, I can mix it into just about anything such as smoothies, oatmeal, pancakes, protein bites, and even a greens powder blend. It doesn’t overpower the flavor of the other ingredients, which I really like.

Easy on digestion: No bloating, discomfort, or gas. That’s a big deal for me personally and for many of my clients. A lot of plant-based proteins claim to be easy on the stomach, but this one actually is.

To be completely transparent, Naked Pea Protein is not a complete protein. It’s low in methionine, one of the nine essential amino acids. However, that doesn’t make it less effective. If you eat a varied diet that includes foods like oats, rice, nuts, seeds, meat, or legumes, you’re already getting the full range of amino acids your body needs for muscle recovery and performance. I personally eat a wide variety of whole foods every day, so this is not a concern.

If you’re looking for a clean, plant-based protein option that supports your goals and doesn’t upset your gut, this one is worth a try. I would recommend Naked Pea Protein for:

Anyone who is sensitive to dairy or avoiding whey and casein

Athletes and active adults who want high protein without added sugars or fillers

Clients who like to flavor their shakes or recipes their own way

People who prefer supplement labels that are short and easy to understand

I also like that it blends well with other supplements I’m already using. I often pair it with my daily greens powder, collagen, and creatine without any issues. It has become a reliable part of my post-workout routine.

Naked Pea Protein is clean, effective, and aligns with what I look for in a supplement. As a coach, I usually won’t recommend something unless I’ve tested it myself and feel confident in how it supports real-world performance and recovery. This product checks those boxes.
